Message from the Governor

It would appear that spring, (or the lack thereof) is
finally behind us and the summer is here! With the
temperatures getting warmer, our thoughts turn to
cookouts, fishing, riding motorcycles and spending time
with our families and friends. And wouldn’t you know
it, during the months of July and August our Lodge will
be hosting all of these events and more! The end of
season 125 club party, a spaghetti dinner, a deep sea
fishing trip, NASCAR party, The Academy of
Friendship, Friday night cookouts and our second annual
motorcycle poker run are all events that are upcoming in
the next two months. If that isn’t enough, we will once
again have the good fortune to host the boys from the
New England House at Mooseheart on July 27th. So
mark your calendars, read your email blasts and keep an
eye on our Facebook page so you don’t miss out on any
one of these great events. Come on down, get involved
and have some fun. See why we’re not just the
friendliest place in town, but just maybe the busiest!

Weekly E-Mail Updates
Work has begun on a weekly email update/blast. We will be sending out a weekly email loaded
with information of upcoming events and news from our Lodge, District, Northeast and National.
If you are interested in receiving these emails, you can either send an email to
LOOM443@gmail.com or sign up at the Lodge.
Don’t be left out!

Fishing Trip

There are still a few spots available on the July 23 deep sea fishing trip. We’ll be leaving Hampton on the Smith & Gilmore
Sea Star at 8:00 AM, returning at 5:00 PM. Cost is only $50 per person, but we hope to catch much more than that in
haddock, cod, and sea buzz. Raffles to make this a free fishing trip are being run at the lodge, see the bartender for details.
Cold malt beverages will be available for purchase on the boat, and we’ll be running a special meat bingo to help subsidize
the trip on July 15. Pools on the boat will include first fish, biggest fish, most fish, and we’ll fry some of our catch at the lodge
on Sunday. Signup sheet is in the social quarters – don’t miss out!

Yard Sale

The annual Moose Lodge yard sale was held on June 11th with the proceeds, this year, going to the Habitat for
Humanity ReStore in Dover. Thanks to all who donated items to be sold, we raised approximately $1000.00 for this
cause. Special thanks to Marshall Bob and his wife Maureen for organizing and chairing this annual event and to Dotty &
Arthur McGlone, B.J. Love, Smokey Nadeau, Ron Maxfield and Ken Wolfe for helping out the day of the sale.

On July 24th all net proceeds from our breakfast will go to the Dover Green Wave cheerleaders
They really need our support–the proceeds will be used for them to get equipment, go to camp or for anything they
may need, so come on down and enjoy a great breakfast and support the little cheerleaders
I am sure we will have another great special for you –all specials are only $6.00
Remember breakfast is only $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children
You might see a friend to share your breakfast with. Hope to see you then

from neighboring Lodges.
You will need to sign up at the Lodge to attend the dinner and enjoy the company of the children, or you can sign up to
just help out with dinner, or just come down to visit.
Just remember that dinner sign up is required to eat…
Thanks, and hope to see you all there welcoming the children to our Lodge.

Bingo Help!!

Drawing of the Moose Legion
Congratulations to Steven Jacques!
Winner of the most recent drawing of the Moose Legion #92 lifetime membership raffle. The drawing was held at
the Moose Legion Celebration in Burlington Vermont on June 5, 2011

We are actively looking for help at Bingo on Tuesday nights.
If they work 13 of 26 weeks between May and October or November to the end of April they will be invited to a
night out for dinner on the lodge.

Poker Run

Not Feeling Well

The 2nd annual Poker Run will be held on August 20th. Last year, all proceeds were donated
to The Dover Children’s Home and featured live music in the parking lot, The Rolling Stogies
Van (they will be back this year), parking lot barbeque, raffles, and much more. What will
happen this year? Got a bike? Time to ride. No bike? Better see Dennis Greene for a ride.
SLOBS Ride

The SLOBS (Salem Lodge on Bikes) will be visiting us on July 23, so if you’re not on the fishing
trip, c’mon down to meet and greet. The SLOBS love us, we love the SLOBS, OK, and we stole
that from Barney. They will be hungry, and we need someone to grill. Who will it be? Barney is
not available, sorry.
